Sylvie Spalmacin-Roma
Since July 1st 2010, Sylvie Spalmacin-Roma has been appointed as the Vice President for Smarter Cities in France. Announced by Sam Palmisano, IBM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in June 2009, Smarter Cities initiative brings innovative solutions to public and private urban development that is both environmentally responsible and sustainable. Previously, for the entire IBM portfolio of software, hardware and services, Sylvie Spalmacin-Roma defined the strategic vision and deployment on the SMEs market as Vice President of General Business for IBM France. She began her career at IBM in 1981 in La Gaude, then working in marketing and finance sector functions. Her career then turned to business development with ISVs, partners and SMEs sales management in London, United States and Europe.

Gerald Maradan
A graduate of HEC (Master of Business Administration), he holds a Master of Research in Physics from INP Toulouse. Gerald has worked in industry for 7 years before creating EcoAct in 2005. To date, he has coordinated nearly 75 consulting projects, participated in the development of over 25 carbon offset programs (biomass, wind, biogas, hydro, biogas units, heat recovery, clean energy, improved stoves REDD +). He also works as a lecturer at the University of Paris Sorbonne, HEC and University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines on climate and environmental issues.

Simon Bransfield-Garth
Simon has 25 years global experience building rapid growth, technology-based businesses in sectors including Semiconductor, Automotive and Mobile Phones. His career includes 7 years at Symbian, the phone OS maker, where he was a member of the Leadership Team and VP Global Marketing. Simon was founder of Myriad Solutions Ltd and was previously a Fellow at Cambridge University. He holds a BA and Ph.D in Engineering from St John’s College, Cambridge UK.

Charles Vaury
Charles focuses on the identification and selection of innovative start-ups and small and medium-sized Positive Economy companies for the BeCapital investment fund. He manages and guides an extensive network of entrepreneurs, researchers, and experts. Charles has a global vision of the various technical and business requirements of the Positive Economy, with a specialization in new technologies and agricultural practices. He works in close collaboration with the BeCapital management team, and is the administrator of one of BeCapital’s holdings: Goëmar.
Before joining BeCitizen, Charles worked for five years as product manager in Danone’s marketing department. He developed and launched milk-product innovations in the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, and France.

Mathieu Goudot
is based in the Paris office of Aloe Private Equity. He is responsible for two investments within Aloe portfolio (in the recycling and agribusiness sector) in addition to conducting due diligence, analytical analysis and market research on sustainable investment opportunities. Mathieu is a graduate from Sciences-Po in Paris with a specialization in finance. He is also a graduate of the Ecole Normale Superieure in Cachan with a major in mechanics and technology.

Stefan Rösch
Stefan Roesch is expert in carbon finance and Senior Sales Manager with South Pole Carbon Asset Management Ltd since 2010. Before he worked in trade policy with the Swiss Department for Economic Affairs. Stefan graduated from London School of Economics with an MSc in International Political Economy

Anna Creti
Anna CRETI joined the University of Paris West in September 2009. She then led the “Sustainable Development, Environment, and Public Economics” research group of the EconomiX Laboratory and was the Deputy Director of the Economics Department at the University of Paris West for a year. She is now the Deputy Director of the EconomiX Research Center. An internationally-renowned expert in the field of energy economy, Anna CRETI is in charge of the PEEES (Paris Environmental and Energy Economics Seminar) seminar that occurs twice a month and brings together 13 institutions working on the themes of energy and environment. Nominated in 2009 for the ENI award, she is a member of the Scientific Committee of the French section of the World Energy Council and a member of the Scientific Committee of the EnergyLab Foundation. She has published in several fiels journal such as Energy Economics, Resource and Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Journal of Regulatory Economics, Economics Bulletin, etc.

Thomas Villard
With an engineering and economic background (Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées ) complemented by an Executive MBA from Kellogg-WHU, Thomas VILLARD started is carreer within EDF as a pricing expert and wholesale power market analyst before taking managerial positions within EDF Sales forces. He is now in charge of smart grid projects for EDF Supply.

Hakan P Johansson
Hakan Johansson is a Senior Specialist in Smart Grids within the ABB Group. Hakan joined ABB in 1983 and held several executives positions in the sales and marketing areas in and outside Sweden. In 2009, he became member of ABB’s Global Smart Grid Initiative and took over the responsibility of Marketing and Market Communications for Smart Grids in Sweden. His strong technical and commercial background in the field of power generation and supply has successfully contributed to the global deployment and understanding of Smart Grids in the power industry. In addition, Hakan has been involved in the design, development and implementation of the most innovative and sustainable ABB Smart Grid projects in Sweden. Hakan Johansson was born in 1960 in Sweden.

Jean-Michel Gauthier
Jean-Michel Gauthier is Deloitte Corporate Finance’s Global Partner responsible for Energy & Resources. He is also the partner in charge of the Energy & Resources practice at Deloitte, Paris. In addition, Jean-Michel is Affiliate Professor of Energy Economics & Finance at HEC Paris. He has over 20 years of energy sector experience. After 12 years at Total as a director of oil and gas project development, he joined Deloitte in 2001 where he runs a multi-disciplinary practice of highly qualified professionals. He is Ancien Eleve de l’Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris; he is Agrege de l’Universite and has a DEA in Public Law and Politics. He has advised several large energy groups, governments, as well as the European Commission, and is today a recognised expert on energy regulations, markets and economics.

G. Schneider
Günther Schneider started his career in management consulting with a focus on the energy industry. After seven years he joined the E.ON group in 2005 as Project Director for large international process restructuring projects in E.ON’s headquarter in Düsseldorf. In 2007 he became part of the project management team for the set-up of E.ON’s Business Unit in France and the integration of SNET (Société Nationale d’Electrique et de Thermique) which was acquired in 2008. After several management roles, Günther Schneider is today in charge for E.ON’s strategic development on the French market with a particular focus on the entry into new markets and innovation

Ms. Sophie Donabedian
Sophie Donabedian is in charge of Smart Grid and Smart Cities business development for France at Schneider Electric.
She has been working in the transmission and distribution sector for for years, in both strategy and marketing functions.
Previously she occupied strategic consulting positions in both the Energy and Automotive sector for 4 years. Sophie holds a Master of Business degree from ESSEC

Eric Mugnier
Eric is Partner at the Ernst & Young Corporate Responsibility Services French practice. He has 16 years experience in social and environmental audit and advisory. He leads the sustainability advisory development in France and has strong experience in the definition and implementation of sustainability strategies, developing sustainability communication and reporting systems, as well as coordinating international benchmarks and studies.Eric is also experienced in directing assurance teams for worldwide clients. He is familiar with both AA1000 and ISAE 3000 standards which are applied across his engagements.Extensive experience in the automotive, telecom, transportation infrastructure, retail and consumer products industries. Eric did his Masters in Business Studies, Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris; Post-gradute degree in Environmental Engineering and Management, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris

Laurence Common
Graduated from the Engineering school of Poitiers (ESIP), Laurence Common is in charge of Climate and Energy issues in the sustainable development department of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT. She is responsible for deploying the Climate and Energy-related policies in the Group (Group’s commitments and positions, international negotiations, regulatory commitments, …) and to bring support to the Group’s affiliates on these issues.
She has previously held positions in Engineering divisions where she was in charge of technical operations (design and building) and of Master plan studies, mainly in the water business

Frédéric Demarez
Frédéric Demarez is V.P. Marketing and Development of PELLENC selective technologies.
He has a Master degree from AgroParisTech that covers most fields of Life Science and Technology and a Post-Master degree for management and administration in environmental sciences and policies.
He started his career in 1993 in the emerging French green dot organization Eco-Emballages in charge of boosting the valorization of household packaging waste. He worked as an expert to define collection and sorting schemes, then as a business manager, building and administrating contracts with local authorities to spread out integrated selective collection programs.
Then he headed the Eco-Emballages’ Plastic Recycling Department before joining the French start up PELLENC selective technologies dedicated to waste optical sorting solutions in 2002 and founded it’s Sales and Marketing Department.
He’s now in charge of innovative industrial applications, marketing and external communication of the company.

Sébastien Delpont
Sébastien is project manager at BeCitizen, mainly concerned with missions of “assistance à maîtrise d’ouvrage”, strategic consulting (due diligence and new business creation), and investment funds advisory in buildings and industry sectors. He coordinates the activities of the internal and external experts and specializes in issues related to environmental health and energy.
Sébastien also lectures on the Positive Economy™ and Environmental issues at Agro Paris Tech, ESCP Europe, University of Versailles Saint Quentin and the Ecole Centrale de Lille. He ran a workshop on health & toxicity issues (attended by international experts) at the World Forum in Lille and spoke at the annual CEFIC conference.
Before joining BeCitizen, Sébastien also conducted several environmental missions for SNCF (French national railway company), CERDD (Centre Ressource du Développement Durable), Veolia Water and ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency).

Jacques Petry
Jacques PETRY has served since 2011 as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of SECHILIENNE-SIDEC, a French independent Power Producer, specialized in Biomass and Photovoltaic Energy.
For 30 years, he dedicated his career to the Environmental and Energy Services around the globe:
- He was President of SUEZ International Water Operations from 1989 to 1996.
- From 1996 to 2004 he served as Chairman and CEO of SITA N°1 European waste industry player and then became the first Chairman and CEO of SUEZ ENVIRONMENT.
- From 2005 to 2007 he was CEO of SODEXO Continental Europe and South America.
- From 2007 to 2011 he advised corporate and financial sponsors, initially as Global Head of RBS’ Environmental Services Sector and more recently as an Independent Consultant, on energy and environmental investments.
- He is Non-executive Director of the SHANKS, Plc.
- He served as Non-executive Director at Northumbrian Water (UK), United Water (USA), AGBAR (Spain), ELYO (France) and at IDEX, the 3rd largest Energy Services Group.
Jacques PETRY holds an Engineer Degree from Ecole Polytechnique, a Civil Engineer Degree from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and an MBA from the Villanova University (USA). He is Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur.
